The scientific journal Problems of Mechanics is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal founded by the M.T. Urozboev Institute of Mechanics and Seismic Stability of Structures of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Editorial Board welcomes original research articles that contribute to the advancement of mechanics, engineering sciences, and innovative technologies at both national and international levels.

Publication Frequency

Problems of Mechanics is published quarterly, with four issues released annually. Manuscripts are accepted throughout the year. Articles are published only after successful completion of the peer review process and final acceptance by the Editorial Board.

Each issue contains original scientific articles selected on the basis of scientific novelty, relevance, methodological quality, and compliance with the journal's scope. Each issue normally includes between 5 and 40 research articles.

Languages of Publication

The journal accepts and publishes manuscripts in English, Russian, and Uzbek.

Open Access Policy

Problems of Mechanics is a fully Open Access journal. All published articles are freely and permanently available immediately upon publication without subscription, registration, or any access restrictions.

The journal believes that unrestricted access to scientific knowledge promotes the advancement of science, strengthens international collaboration, increases the visibility and citation of published research, and facilitates the dissemination of engineering knowledge worldwide.

All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). This license permits users to read, download, copy, distribute, cite, adapt, and reuse published materials, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right of first publication. The journal does not impose any embargo period, and all published content remains permanently available on the journal's official website.

Peer Review Process

Problems of Mechanics operates a double-blind peer review system in which neither authors nor reviewers know each other's identities throughout the review process.

Manuscripts that successfully pass the initial editorial screening are evaluated by at least two independent experts with appropriate scientific expertise.

The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection of a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers' recommendations. Detailed information is available in the Peer Review Policy section.

The founder of Problems of Mechanics is the M.T. Urozboev Institute of Mechanics and Seismic Stability of Structures of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Institute is one of the leading scientific research organizations in Uzbekistan, conducting fundamental and applied research in mechanics, seismic resistance of structures, and related engineering disciplines.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

The journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 100 only for manuscripts that have been accepted for publication.

No submission fee is charged.

The APC covers editorial processing, peer review management, manuscript preparation for publication, Open Access dissemination, and long-term digital archiving.

Plagiarism and Improper Academic Practices

Problems of Mechanics maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, and all forms of research misconduct.

All submitted manuscripts are screened using specialized plagiarism detection software before entering the peer review process.

Text similarity reports are evaluated by the Editorial Board with consideration of the nature of the similarities, citation practices, source attribution, and disciplinary norms. Manuscripts containing evidence of plagiarism or other forms of publication misconduct may be rejected at any stage of the editorial process.
