Repository Policy
The Uzbek Journal "Problems of Mechanics" supports open access, self-archiving, and the broad dissemination of published research.
Authors retain copyright to their articles and may deposit different versions of their manuscripts in appropriate repositories without an embargo period.
Article Versions
For the purposes of this policy:
- Submitted Version (Preprint) — the manuscript before peer review;
- Accepted Manuscript (AAM/Postprint) — the peer-reviewed and accepted version before journal copyediting and typesetting;
- Published Version (Version of Record) — the final article published by the journal with official formatting, metadata, and DOI.
Permitted Deposits
Authors may deposit the submitted, accepted, or published version of their article in:
- personal or institutional websites;
- institutional repositories;
- subject-based repositories;
- funder-designated repositories;
- academic sharing platforms, subject to their applicable terms.
The final published version is also freely available on the journal’s website.
No embargo period applies.
Deposit Requirements
Deposited versions must clearly indicate their status, such as:
- Submitted Version/Preprint;
- Accepted Manuscript;
- Published Version/Version of Record.
After publication, deposited versions should include:
- the full citation of the published article;
- the journal name — Uzbek Journal "Problems of Mechanics";
- the DOI or permanent link to the Version of Record;
- an indication that the published article is licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Authors should not present a preprint or accepted manuscript as the final published version.
Preprints
Posting a preprint before submission does not normally prevent consideration by the journal.
Authors must disclose the existence of a preprint when submitting the manuscript. After publication, the preprint record should be updated with the full citation and DOI of the published article.
Copyright and Licence
Copyright remains with the authors.
Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0), which permits copying, sharing, adaptation, and commercial or non-commercial reuse, provided appropriate attribution is given.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that deposited materials comply with third-party copyright, licensing, institutional, and funding requirements.

This policy is effective from 1 August 2026.
