Data and Reproducibility Policy
Uzbek Journal "Problems of Mechanics" supports transparency, verification, and reproducibility in scientific research. Authors must provide sufficient information to allow readers and other researchers to understand, evaluate, and, where possible, reproduce the reported work.
Data Availability
Each research manuscript must include a Data Availability Statement indicating where the data, computer code, models, software, materials, or other resources supporting the findings can be accessed.
Authors are encouraged to deposit research materials in a trusted repository and provide a DOI, accession number, or stable link where possible.
Open access to data is not mandatory where restrictions arise from:
- confidentiality or privacy;
- intellectual property rights;
- commercial or contractual obligations;
- legal or ethical requirements;
- security considerations;
- third-party ownership;
- justified technical limitations.
Where access is restricted, authors must clearly explain the reason and state whether the materials may be provided upon reasonable request.
Methodological Transparency
Authors must describe the research design, methods, materials, calculations, computational models, software, and analytical procedures in sufficient detail to support evaluation and reproducibility.
Any important limitations, assumptions, data-processing procedures, and software versions should be clearly reported.
Accuracy and Preservation of Research Records
Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the data and materials supporting their manuscript.
Original research records should be retained for an appropriate period and made available to the journal when reasonably required to verify the published findings or investigate an integrity concern.
Replication Studies
The journal welcomes scientifically sound replication and reproducibility studies. Such manuscripts are evaluated according to the same standards of relevance, methodological quality, transparency, and peer review as other research articles.
Non-Compliance
False statements about data availability, concealment of relevant materials, or refusal to provide supporting evidence without a valid reason may result in editorial investigation and action under the journal’s Allegations of Misconduct Policy.
Policy Administration
This policy is effective from 1 August 2026 and will be reviewed periodically.
