Submission Checklist
Before submitting a manuscript to the Uzbek Journal "Problems of Mechanics", authors must confirm that all requirements below have been met.
☐ Originality and exclusive submission
The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not currently under consideration by another journal. Any publicly available preprint has been disclosed during submission.
☐ Journal scope and manuscript type
The manuscript is relevant to the journal’s aims and scope. The appropriate manuscript type has been selected, such as Research Article, Review Article, Short Communication, Technical Note, Case Study, Editorial, Perspective, or Letter.
☐ Official journal template
The manuscript has been prepared using the current Microsoft Word or Overleaf template of the journal.
Word manuscripts are submitted as a single editable file. Overleaf manuscripts include the source files, bibliography files, figures, and other materials required to compile the manuscript.
☐ Title page and anonymous manuscript
A separate title page contains:
- full names of all authors;
- institutional affiliations;
- city, postal code, and country;
- email addresses;
- ORCID identifiers, where available;
- identification of the corresponding author.
The manuscript prepared for peer review does not contain author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, file properties, or other information that may identify the authors.
☐ Title, abstract, and keywords
The title is concise, informative, specific, and free from unnecessary abbreviations.
The abstract:
- is presented as a single paragraph;
- does not exceed 200 words;
- summarizes the Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
The manuscript includes three to ten relevant keywords.
☐ Manuscript structure
A Research Article normally includes:
- Introduction;
- Methods;
- Results;
- Discussion;
- Conclusions.
A separate Conclusions section is required for Research Articles. The structure of reviews, editorials, perspectives, letters, and other manuscript types may be adapted to their purpose.
☐ Methods and reproducibility
The analytical, numerical, computational, or experimental methods are described in sufficient detail to permit scientific evaluation and reproducibility.
Where applicable, the manuscript reports:
- materials, equipment, software, models, and parameters;
- measurement uncertainty and calibration;
- repeatability, sample size, and statistical methods;
- model verification and validation;
- convergence criteria;
- mesh or time-step independence;
- uncertainty or sensitivity analysis.
☐ Figures, tables, and equations
All figures, tables, and equations:
- are numbered consecutively;
- are cited in numerical order in the text;
- are placed close to their first citation;
- have clear and informative captions;
- are provided in readable and publication-quality form.
Figure captions appear below figures, and table titles appear above tables. Equations are numbered using Arabic numerals in parentheses.
☐ Symbols, abbreviations, and units
All symbols, parameters, subscripts, superscripts, and abbreviations are defined at first use.
SI units are used throughout the manuscript. A nomenclature or abbreviations section is included where a large number of symbols or abbreviations is used.
☐ Data Availability Statement
Every manuscript contains a Data Availability Statement.
The statement identifies:
- the repository and persistent identifier, where data are publicly available;
- availability from the corresponding author upon reasonable request;
- applicable privacy, confidentiality, legal, commercial, ethical, or security restrictions; or
- that no new data were created or analysed.
☐ Ethics approval and informed consent
Where applicable, the manuscript includes:
- the name of the approving ethics committee or competent authority;
- the approval or protocol number;
- the approval date;
- informed consent to participate;
- consent for publication of identifiable information.
Where ethical approval or consent is not required, the manuscript includes an appropriate “Not applicable” statement.
☐ Required declarations
The manuscript includes all applicable statements concerning:
- Author Contributions using the CRediT taxonomy;
- Funding;
- Ethics Approval;
- Informed Consent and Consent for Publication;
- Data Availability;
- Acknowledgements;
- Conflicts of Interest;
- use of artificial intelligence tools.
☐ Authorship
All listed authors meet the journal’s authorship criteria, have made a substantial contribution, approved the submitted manuscript, and accepted responsibility for its content.
Contributors who do not qualify for authorship are acknowledged with their permission.
☐ References
References are prepared using the Zotero citation style:
AMA Manual of Style 11th edition (brackets)
References:
- are numbered in the order of first citation;
- are cited in square brackets, such as [1], [2,3], or [4–6];
- include DOI links where available;
- use journal abbreviations consistent with ISO 4;
- include only sources cited in the manuscript.
Cyrillic references are transliterated into the Latin alphabet. Where required, the title is followed by an English translation in square brackets, and the original language is identified.
☐ Research integrity and third-party materials
The manuscript does not contain plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, inappropriate manipulation of data or images, citation manipulation, or other research misconduct.
Permission has been obtained for copyrighted figures, tables, photographs, software, datasets, or other third-party materials.
☐ Copyright and licence
The authors understand that they retain copyright and that accepted articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence — CC BY 4.0.
☐ Publication fees
The authors have reviewed the journal’s Publication Fees (APC) Policy.
The standard APC is USD 100 per accepted article. For articles accepted during the 2026 calendar year, the APC is fully covered by the journal’s Founder. Authors are therefore not required to pay a publication fee for articles accepted in 2026.
☐ Final approval
All authors have reviewed and approved the final submitted version. The corresponding author confirms that the manuscript files and submission metadata are accurate and complete.
Incomplete Submissions
Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the corresponding author for technical correction before editorial assessment or peer review.
